I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Drachenhaus, particularly the charming character of the hotel, which is nestled in a prime location just a short stroll from the city center. The breakfast served was delightful, featuring a lovely assortment of meats and cheeses.
Limited parking options.

Proximity to local markets and shops, historic charm and quirky decor, scenic views of Tampa Mountain
Parking options are severely lacking!!! Stairs are old and uneven, making it a hassle for guests with luggage!!! Noise from the central courtyard disrupts peace during the night!!! Showers have poor drainage leading to discomfort!!!

Our family of 7, including 5 teenagers, loved exploring the city center, just a short walk from the hotel. The spacious rooms had lovely wooden beams and the breakfast was hearty enough for everyone, with options like scrambled eggs and fresh pastries.
In my wife’s opinion, the parking situation needs improvement.

I stayed in the Standard Double Room for 2 nights. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was big and comfortable, which was a huge plus. The absence of AC was noticeable, but the standing ventilator helped. There's lots of natural light, and although it's close to the city center, the noise wasn't too bad at night. However, the bathroom could have used better maintenance. Overall, a decent stay with some charming, quirky touches around the hotel.

The lovely historic building boasts spacious and well-furnished rooms, creating a cozy atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring local markets and dining options, with a great selection at breakfast including delicious burgers. However, noise levels can be disruptive, particularly from neighboring rooms and common areas, making it challenging to find peace at times. Parking is also inconvenient, with limited options available nearby.
